the path which you have described means, still you are using the ccBoard profile, that is why it is looking for the image under avatar diretory,

Please goto admin panel, and change user profile to jomsocial and verify

Thanks

Thomas

Hello,

I believe most of the text can be found in Root>language>en-GB>en-GB.com_ccboard.ini

I'd look there first.

Good luck

Hi Thomas,

First of all, just let me say that this is a fantastci extension for Joomla. I plan to use it for the site I'm building and even in beta, it's already very good.

The second thing is, I notice that when you quote someone in your reply, all this does is border the quoted text in a coloured box. It does not specify the author of the quote.

In a short discussion, this isn't an issue but in a multipage thread, it can be confusing trying to figure out who quoted whom and when.

Regards,

Justin

Agreed.

I would also like to request this function Wink

Topic : Jomsocial avatar not showing when logged out

Hello,

Here's another one thats escaping me.

When I am logged into the front end I can see my Jomsocial avatar next to my posts, but when I log out and browse the forum the avatar does not show. I get the dreaded red x instead. Checking the properties for the image placeholder it shows: /components/com_ccboard/assets/avatar/images/avatar/09edf9e41dc9f909a146bd07

I checked /components/com_ccboard/assets/avatar/ to see if there were folders called /images/avatar/ but there is nothing there. File permissions are set to 755 for the avatar folder.

When logged in I see the path to the image is: /images/avatar/09edf9e41dc9f909a146bd07.gif

So I am assuming that there is a problem somewhere in the code, but I am editing the site using a temporary url. I.e. Instead of www.somesite.com I am using http://tempserver.com/~user/

I'm not sure if that is causing the broken image, but I suspect it is not the problem. Can anyone help out with this one?

I'm using the newest version of CCboard downloaded tonight and the newest version of Jomsocial.

Thanks for any help.

Topic : Use different editor than default

Here is an option I am currently using.

Download JCE editor from Joomla.org then in Components>JCE Administration>Groups create a new editor and assign it to ccBoard then select -Registered in types, then select the buttons you want used in the Group Layout Editor.

I have selected a minimal set of buttons so guests can't mess up the site.

Hope this helps.

If anyone can answer my post I would be grateful http://codeclassic.net/index.php?option=com_ccboard&view=postlist&forum=5&topic=237&post=0

Hello, Thanks for the great component!

My question is how do you change the light purple highlight with blue dashed border used for the quote? I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find it.

If you want to see what I'm talking about, use the quote button to quote my post.

Thanks for any help Smile
