Migration Steps for ccBoard ver 1.2-RC PDF Print E-mail

STEP - 1

  • Take a back up of your existing Joomla! site
  • Download migration_All_Time_To_1_2-RC.zip from http://codeclassic.org/the-downloads.html
  • Unzip migration_All_Time_To_1_2-RC.zip to a temporary folder
  • Copy the contents including files and sub folders to your Joomla installation root directory
  • Overwrite the existing files 
  • Delete the following file from your existing
    /components/administrator/components/com_ccboard/tables/
    (Applicable only for version prior to 0.3.0).
       a) user.php
       b) category.php
       c) forum.php
       d) topic.php
       e) post.php
  • Login to administration panel and clear the cache

 

STEP - 2

  • Select the ccBoard menu from components in the administration panel
  • Select Global configuration as displayed below

 

  • Save the Configuration by clicking save button as displayed below

 

 

 

 

  STEP - 3

  •  Select Tools Menu from ccBoard Dashboard in the admin panel as displayed below

  • Click Upgrade DB as displayed below

STEP -4

  • Select Tools Menu again from ccBoard Dashboard in the admin panel.
  • And Click Synchronize Button as displayed below




STEP -5

Please add the following CSS Classes to your ccBoard CSS Template

span.textwhite          { color: white; font-weight:bold; }
td.ccbboardsummary  { background-color: #EEEEEE; padding: 5px; margin: 0px;}
div.graphleft             { float:left;  padding-top: 5px;}
div.graphright           { float:left;  padding-top: 5px; padding-left:10px;}
td.ccbquickreply        { color: black; background-color: white; padding: 5px 10px 5px 5px; }
span.topicavatar        { border:1px solid #CCCCCC; display:block; height:auto; padding:1px; width:40px; }

**Note: the pictures may seem little bit different than the actual screens shots, this is due to the changes being made to the pictures in order to fit into the page properly.
